I have the explorer intake and thought about using its TB, but alas the accel ball is 90degrees off so I don't think I can use it.

Which TB do you recommend? or can the explorer TB be modified? TIA

It will be a stock rebuild with a mild cam. I have a stock TB as well, but compared to the explorer TB, it looks like it is VERY restrictive. I'm looking for alternatives. thx

The Explorer TB is 65mm; the stock Mustang 5.0 TB is 60mm. 65mm is a popular size with the 5.0 crowd. You could try to modify you Explorer TB like this guy did... Link
