is it even possible to get a 351 w stock fuel injection manifold to fit on a 67 coupe?

see below my engine with the 4 v carb and 3.5 in air filter, there is only like 1/2 inch clearance to the stock hood, i am going with an eleanor hood but i don't think it will give me more than another 2 inches

if that is indeed a 351w intake, and its too tall, you might try a holley upper, I believe the systemax fits it.

What is your budget like? The new BOSS EFI system is damn sweet if you can afford it. Another option would be getting a Spyder intake (like yours with injector bosses welded in) along with a carb-style throttle body and a megasquirt ECU. I haven't seen any long runner type manifolds used but I do know the Trick Flow units are not as tall. The stock truck units are way too tall unless you have a large cowl hood. Even then the performance hit is not worth the conversion.

The Trickflows will fit under a stock 94-95 hood which has less room than our cars, so it'll fit. A truck 351W EFI intake won't even fit under a foxbody hood, by a long shot, and those have more room than a vintage stang. The 351W truck lower is a beast, so Shagg's idea of swapping on a shorter corresponding 5.0L upper seems pretty interesting.

If you were to buy the upper and lower intakes like these, what else would you need for a full conversion? Sorry for the noobish question, I'm just not familiar with how it all works.

no stock style 351w efi intake will fit under a stock hood unless you do drop motor mounts and mill the upper and lower intake, the mass flo efi will fit and most 4bbl throtlebody conversions based on the torker 2 or vic jr will fit, the holley commander tbi will fit as well and looks like the boss efi will as well but they are tbi style, f.a.s.t has a new one comming out as well.

Just about any of them will fit fine, if your talking about simplicity and self tuning the mass flo efi I hear is the way to go, I may be going that route myself. If your good at wiring then you can buy a computer and sensors and all related stuff and make your own, single plane efi conversion manifolds are available, also holley makes a universal multiport kit that has a lot of whats needed in a kit but just about all except the mass flo are speed density so you will have to tune it with a laptop.

The TBI systems are cheaper and easier to install as they bolt on your existing 4bbl intake like the holley projection, boss efi etc....

the projection will require tuning but the boss efi has a "self tuning " speed density computer as the new fast system will.
