how do you guys hook up your back up lights? what do i need to do to make it work? i have a wc T5 with the speedo and plug thingie on the drivers side.

Pretty easy to hook up actually. There is a square 4 wire plug by the firewall near the brake booster and gauge connector that goes to the interior. The two wires that come off that need to be spliced into the plug that is on the transmission. I don't think it matters which wire you connect to. Here are a couple pictures of the connector and the plug. I hope this helps.
Two of those wires are for the starter lockout and two are for the backup lights. Original manual cars have a loop wire on the connector for the lockout and the other two go down to the trans. The T5 has a two post connector on the side for the lights.

I went to a junkyard and clipped a couple wire plugs from oil pressure terminals and made my own harness. PO must of done something to the old plug wires. :/
