And you still haven't said which version of the 4.6 you intend to use, and seem to be ignoring the advice offered more than once that a 4.6 2V isn't an economical swap choice compared to a 5.0. The 5.0 is a cheaper option, an easier swap, has much more aftermarket support and has more HP potential. The 4.6 2V can make a lot of power with forced induction and the newer PI heads, but if you start with an earlier version of the motor (215 hp - 285 ft/lb tq) you're looking at a very expensive proposition to get power levels that barley equal what you'd get from a 5.0 with just new heads and a good cam.

a 2v with PI heads is a decent motor and definately worth considering...especially if you are considering boost of some type...they make good power boosted...however, I still agree that as far a common sense and most per per dollar spent, a pushrod engine is a better choice(whether SBF or BBF)since any of them will fit between the towers and there is a huge aftermarket...the only real reason to go with a modular engine is be different...I personally did it because I love the rasp of the 4v engine...stupid reason, but hey, its my car and I like doing the work
