Default 67 convert EFI intake spacing

Does anyone have a trick to remove the EGR, use a spacer, and have the throttle linkage clear the valve cover?

Can't see it in this photo, but imagine that the two bolts holding the throttle linkage bracket each have a 1/2 inch spacer that sets the bracket outward towards the throttle body.

On my son's truck, I flipped the spacer bracket upside down and welded a brace to the linkage bracket and redrilled the holes to raise it up.
