Default 67 Fastback RestoMod - Update

First - loving the vbulletin software - thanks Bob!! I run this at my company for the Systems Engineering team to capture and disseminate tech!!
EDIT: Oops - did not realize we had been sold. Welcome new corporate overlords..../EDIT

As some of you know - my 9month resto of my 67 has stretched into a 9 year extravaganza of waiting for the confluence of time and money.

9 years ago I had the body blasted and prepped for paint.
8 years ago I put the thing on the rotisserie and added torque boxes and sub frame connectors.
5 years ago I bought the CA/TCP Power Rack and Coil Overs.
Then things stalled.

Earlier this year EVM decided to cease operations. Hearing that they had 2 watts/3link kits in powdercoating, Nick helped me acquire one of their last units. This got me moving again.

In this thread, Ill post the various stages of the job in separate posts. (easier reading)
The Start:

Default The Plan

Ok, so - what is the plan?

Overall - build a zippy street oriented mustang that handles and brakes well enough for occasional track days, is comfortable and maintains the classic 60's Steve McQueen esque look.

Body -
LH and RH Torque boxes
SubFrame Connectors.

Suspension -
TCP Coil Overs and a Power Rack up Front.
EVM 3Link/Watts over a 9" out Back

Power -
This is where it gets dicey. Originally I was planning on a 347 bottom end using
my existing SD EFI and Trick Flow Heads in front of a nice T5. Recently, however,
I have been thinking GTO LS2 in front of a T56. I touch on this topic more later
in the series.

Wheels -
17" Torque Thrust/Max Tire Sizes.

Brakes -
Undecided. Baer or Brembo. BIG. No Wilwood due to backspacing complexities.

Comfort -
AC of course.

Paint -
Factory Dark Green. PPG.

Default Chassis

I realized that the old girl was getting on in years but I want the car to feel crisp and tight - so - seam welding and SubFrame connectors were the prescription to insure 100's of K-miles more to come.

First up - Acquisition of the Whirly-Jig. Commercial grade Rotisserie. I have my eye on a convertible job down the road - so I sprang for the high end rig.

Whily-Jig Pics

Getting the car onto the jig was a bit of fun. It took three tries. I have decided to not share the pics of try one. Suffice to say- I was a no - go....

I had to fabricate some basic brackets and I grabbed the car from the front and rear bumper mounts. Once I figured out how to balance it, all went smoothly and I was able to easily rotate the car to any position w/o feeling threatened by the tremendous potential energy gathered in the assembly.

Mouting the Car on the Body Handler - Take 3

Now that the car was on the body handler, the seam welding/TorqueBoxes/SubFrame connector job was on....
