Mischievous has a semi-stock Teak wood grain interior. I like the concept of wood grain interiors but Teak & Burl are much to dark for my taste. I am thinking more of a Birdseye Maple - Light Blond. I think it would be difficult if not impossible to form a real wood laminate around the guage pod corners. So my thoughts are a vinyl decal with clear coat sprayed over it. BUT - I can not find a source for light colored wood decal material.
Buhler, Buhler, anyone, anyone
This is the current interior. I think light wood would add contrast and look sharp!
A couple people here have done real wood veneer on 68's, but like you said, I've got no idea how they made it around the curves. Looks really nice when it's done though.
I think palmacea did a write up on his?

Yea but 68's don't have the sharp radius corners the 69/70 has in the guage pods. I looked at veneer's. You can steam them but the local distributor was not optomistic.
Layne you can get real wood veneer, including birds-eye maple to wrap around just about any shape. Just look at a late model Jag, Lexus etc. If you Google *automobile wood veneer* or similar, in addition to lots of kits for late model vehicles, you will find sources for sheet veneer. On a 67 Mustang deluxe interior for example, you could adhere the veneer to the existing aluminum surfaces no problem.
