Ok, ready to step up and spend some coin on some serious wheels. This car has 18" fronts and 20" rears. I love these wheels but am trying to see what other options are out there. Please post up your pics of big wheeled first gen mustangs. Want to see what else is out there.
I dont want to modify too much. Rolling the fenderwells is as far as I will go. This car has stock fenderwells.....

I suggest looking at HRE, CCW, BBS, or Fikse if you want a great-quality forged wheel in 18"-20" sizes. While I don't have any pics of modern wheels on early-model Mustangs, and given you seem to want a custom look, if it were me I wouldn't want to choose a wheel that others are using, anyway.
HRE will custom-build you one of their multi-piece wheels with your choice of bolt-pattern, offset, and finish. And their wheels are nice in that you can choose to have hidden hardware and still have a multi-piece design...a nice feature since cleaning around all those rim bolts can be a real pain.
My car isn't a 65/66 but I do have some Boyd Coddington Magneato's. 17's and 18's.

That photo you linked to is from Boze Alloys, why not ask/look at them, since they fitted that car? I've seen their wheels on some '05 and up Mustangs and they look really nice...
I have 17's in my sig pic. 18-20's are a little too big for an early Mustang, in my opinion.

Darrel: Always loved the way your car sits. I'm leaning toward those rim sizes now. I've been in contact with Boze on the wheels. Trying to get other angles of the car, but it is a customer's car and this is the only pic they have. Will post more up if I get em.
Keep em coming please....

I think if you want to fit some 20" rims in the back you are going to have to tub the rear to gain some additional height in the rear wheel wells, especially if you want it to tuck like they do in that black fastback you posted

Not being biased, but just curious as to the ages of those of you who dont like the big wheels. My guess is that you are old-school! (which I love too....just trying to get a gauge). I've had 16's on my car forever and just lookin to step it up...I'm 39. Thinkin the younger crowd likes the bigger wheels more than the older crowd......
I'm 37 and thanks for the compliment about the stance of my car. It is always nice when someone likes your work and ideas.
