Default Check out this 1968/2004 GT Convertible the ONLY one of its kind.

My buddy Fabian has been working on this thing for about two years. It is still being finished up but you can see how it has turned out thus far. It is pretty remarkable in person. It is a 2004 Mustang GT 5 speed Convertible that has had 68 body panels implimented. The only exterior body panels that were used from the 04 were the doors, rockers, fender & quarter flares, and the windshield pilars/brace. It has a 68 hood, trunk lid, quarters, fenders, rear valance, and front valance. When he first started this thing, no one imagined it turning out quite the way it did. It is definitely the only one of its kind. Anywho, just thought I'd post it up to see what kind of feedback we might get. Any and all feedback be that negative or positive is welcome.

Thanks,
Shawn

Wow! Looks really nice-that took some time! The only thing Im not really a big fan of is the front and rear valance's-they are so tall (bumper to ground)! Im assuming because of suspension or whatever reason. Other than that-Id like to do that!

Pretty crazy! The rear lights turned out great.

Quite nice and quite unique. It'd drive people like me crazy trying to figure out what year it really is....

That is fabulous. I'd bet he could sell some body kits if he were to take molds and reproduce it.

Not the first. Couple years ago, Dave Stribling did a complete Cobra undercarriage, engine -trans etc on a very stock appearing black 68 Mustang Fastback. The interior, right down to the orig appearing shifter was bone stock-black deluxe. The exterior was original, save 17" Bullit style wheels. A close look gave witness to the fact that "something" had been done. Two driving lights behind grill were almost inconspicuous behind a 67 grill. Still think it was the best 68 fastback going! Steve McQueen would have gone bonkers over this one!

OMG! I have thought of doing this for years! I guess I just found new life for my '95 ragtop when it comes time to be replaced as my daily driver.

All that is missing is a light bar!

Great workmanship, but to me it looks like a Mustang fat kid.

I'd love to see that in person and get a first hand perspective. Looks like some nice work.
