Yes sir, mine dumps out the muffler right at the axle. I'm running 1 3/4 inch long tubes and 3 inch pipe all the way through to include the mufflers. I'm also running an H pipe. I think the thickness of my exhaust set up (most small blocks run 1 5/8 inch headers) may also contribute to the louder sound.

I have also done some research and have come to find that an H pipe gives a car a more muscle car sound where an X pipe gives the car a more raspy sound. Therefore, I prefer an H pipe.

Well it sounds good. But it is loud. But you know that already. I think your car, Shaun's from SoT, and SilverBlue are my three favorites. Not that it matters!

It matters. People like to know that what they have done to thier car is appreciated by others. So, thank you

On my 347 I have Original 40 series Flowmasters, Tri-Y headers, no X or H pipe.

Default Sound of various header/pipe combinations

Inspired by HD's thread on installing his pipes. I wonder if on this thread people could record their exhaust sound and note their header(if applicable) /pipes/muffler combo?
