Default New Modern Engine in 1969/70 Fastback

Has anyone tried to install a modern engine like this
http://mustangsdaily.com/blog/2010/0...s-ford-racing/

into a 1969/1970 fastback?
If so, what are some things to watch out for?

It should be no different than installing a 4.6L 4v MOD motor. I believe the dimensions are about the same and it uses the same engine mounts and transmission bolt pattern. You will have to notch/remove the shock towers. It might be easier to remove the shock towers (versus notch) and install a Mustang-II style suspension. That way, you won't have to find/fabricate a front-sump oil pan.

Those who have put the MOD engines in will hopefully be able to provide more info.

When I see those motors I wish I had a no name plane jane mustang I could cut up and bolt one of those in. Change out to Mustang II front and cut out the shock towers.

I've driven a 2011 mustang shelby. Intense acceleration and cornering. If it hadn't been a 50K car I might have bought one myself.
