The catalog is finished but because I was so far behind I am now preparing for the Street Rod Nationals in Louisville and updating a few installation manuals. I will get it done as soon as I can.

is there a thread called the power of miss information and morons on the internet?

Seriously.. its not better then an upgraded stock... but it's not off a damned pinto either.

Use them for engines you can't get to fit otherwise...

I wouldn't say they handle any worse than a modded stock either just why go through all the fab when you can bolt in new parts.

+ i think engine-bays without shock towers are ugly. that being said.. i want a coyote powered 67 and i don't think i can notch the fenders enough for it.

So, I'm not the only one that finds engine bays without our knuckle busting shock towers less attractive. Funny isn't it how you grow so accustomed to something, something even that causes us havoc, that it feels weird when its gone. LMAO

I too, have partially resisted something like Detroit Speed and Engineering, for the fact I fear I will not like the looks all that well. Too many projects and not enough time.

I agree. A SBF Ford looks pretty lonely in all that empty space. Now a mod motor . . .

I put the MII frontend in a 65 fastback with power rack. While the power rack was nice, I found I was not a fan of the MII front end. It rode okay, but no better than stock and it jacked up the turning radius of the car. Because the car had to be cut and welded to put the MII in there was no turning back and the conversion was the main reason I sold the car.

My 65 coupe has a bolt in Ron Morris adjustable coilover kit in it and it handles and rides better than the MII or the stock front suspension. I am thinking of buying another fastback, and after all these years in the hobby (almost 35) I have come to the conclusion that it will get roller perches along with all new stock suspension peices, a nice roller motor and a nice c4 with highway gears for cruising..... ac, stock power steering, 4 wheel disc and a beautiful paintjob.... then enjoy. I have spent countless 10's of thousands of dollars over the years doing every mod available to 65/66 mustangs.... it is still an old unibody and if I want a good handling sporty car I will buy a 4 or 5 year old corvette or mustang gt and go have fun at the track with it. No mods needed.

Nice hearing a comparison from dav65mus who has had all three types of front ends. I have though of doing the same on my convert recently picked up and try leaving it "improved stock" for once.

Stielow's Camaro vs new ZR1 was a disappointing read for a long time hot rodder. Growing up in the 80's it was always accepted that we'd give up comfort to drive old, but we could always beat the factory in performance. This is getting harder to do with our ever older iron
