Insurance job? I'd love to hearing the squirming the company did to try and get out of fixing this.

Hagerty insurance so far no problem. They gave him a check and know there will be a supplement. All they want is for me to send them pictures of the damaged they missed.

After the initial "ouch" reaction upon seeing the pictures, I started thinking about the driver of the mustang and what kind of whiplash they probably went thru. Those low-back seats are not exactly the hot ticket for safety. Hope they are ok.

The driver did have whiplash and his back is bothering him but he is back to work driving his FedEx truck. He is going with different seats either high back or head rests.

I would have just taken the insurance money and run on that one. That car will never be the same no matter what. You should just drop the driveshaft, disconnect the rear brake lines, measure it out, and cut the car literally in half. I would not even try to start repairing that rear of the car... It's worthless anyway, so cut the car in half, Save time, trouble and money and once the rear end of the car is cut off while being on a frame straighetner, cut it in half, remove the rear end from the rear part of the car, and weld on a donor rear body from a junked or roller '65-'66 convertible...then move on with life..

correct way to fix is put it on a jig and pull it out as much as possible then cut and replace stuff .

One of the things that helped is he had a gas tank shield made for it and it also has subframe connectors.

What are you talking about? This is an easy fix for an experienced body man with a good frame machine. Hell, it will be aligned better when done than it was when it left the factory.
You just pull everything back into place, and then cut out the damaged areas and install new panels.
Rusty, being what appears to have been a rear end collision, why is the owners insurance picking up the tab?
Let me guess, hit by someone without insurance?

We have not had a lot of time to work on this because of other projects. The parts came in.

The engine was removed

We moved it to the shop and started removing the suspension
