Default '69 A/C Condenser on a '65?

Okay, I have a '65 mustang and I have upgraded my radiator to a '69 3 row for more cooling capacity with a semi stock look. I would like to know if I used a '69 A/C condenser, would that help give me better cooling? Mind you I have the stock under dash unit. Has anyone done this upgrade? I need photos and dimensions on cutting the core support to route the A/C lines.
Thanks!

I was going down that same path on my Cuda when I upgraded all the underhood AC components. I was told that larger is better for condensers by giving the hot freon gas a longer path to cool down. I went with the largest I could find. AC works great but admittedly the car does run a little hot and I wonder if I should have been more conservative in sizing the condenser.

I am doing the same upgrade now on my 70 Mach restomod with 24" radiator and I am going with a 14x20 tru flow condensor. Its smaller than the radiator and hopefully will run nice and cool.

R134 does take more to cool down than R12 so yes the larger the condencer the better the a/c will work. On the down side, to see a noticable diff you'd need a much larger condencer than the 69 unit. I'm not sure I'd cut the car for such a small imporvment. I would however replace the evap canistor if you've never done so. This will improve the workings of an ac more than anything. You could also put a fan shroud on the radiator to improve air flow inturn making what you have work the best it can. As for an ac condencer making the engine run warmmer. I've never seen a noticable diff. thermostat should be able to regulate that pretty well.
