Default Strut type front suspensions, anyone here use them or have tried them?

My friend is building his 68 and sent me a link to the RRS suspension and Gateway suspension which appears to be the same design.

the stuff looks interesting and i like the fact that they do not use the stock spindle and hub. the suspension travel appears much greater than conventional upper and lower control arms.

Anyone here have any insight on these systems?

The problem is they are never actually available to buy. I wanted to try it but nobody had them in stock.

really which company have you tried buying from? My friend has just been shopping around he hasn't committed to this yet but im not sure if he even asked these companies if they had parts in stock i will sure relay him that message tonight. i think the design looks neat and should translate into a much better ride quality and front end control. We just watched a 30 min video from RRS how he explains all the issues with the original set up and with conventional upper and lower control arms on these cars, quite informative video to say the least.

just found a bunch of BS on RRS not supplying product that isnt good maybe that is why they no longer have a US distributor. Same deal with Gateway and AJE? you cant get these systems from anyone?
What are your guys thoughts of these strut designed front ends versus other aftermarket kits on the market currently?

I am not sure that there are enough systems out there in the buying public to form a good opinion. If Gateway can't supply you a kit in short order, I would look elsewhere.
Gateway has been advertising that kit for a while now.

Just call gateway and ask them if you can stop by and pick a kit up, if they say no then they don't have them.

I've been running RRS front suspension and brakes since about 2005. Theyre absolutely fine on the street or the track in my experience.

No, its not griggs but it is a lot better than stock, or improved stock. Never went as far as roller spring perches so I cant compare performance against those.
