Default What shifter for 4r70w with mvb in a 66?

What shifter are you using for a 4r70 with a mvb? I would like to keep to appearance of the stock shifter if possible. Please include pics. I'm thinking a custom console with a V&T hammer shifter is the best looking option.

Full 3 click manual VB? Or a 2 click manual VB and an electronic OD on and off?

Not many options to look stock with 3 clicks.

You can support that with the stock shifter then since you will use an OD button if you wanted to, Stock shifter has 3 drive positions. I used the stock shifter with my AOD without a manual VB but I shift it manually when I race...which means I get to do the 1-2-1-2-3 shuffle. With that said, I did buy a hammer once and left it in the box, I couldn't come up with a way for it work with my console and I didn't think it looked right in my 65

Did you use the 4r70 link on the stock 66 cable?

I looked at the lokar shifters last night. They look really nice but I'm not sold on the shifter boot just yet. Anyone has any pics of the lokar installed?

I have an AOD case with 4r70w internals...so no electronic control. I used the stock shifter with a modified rod and flipped the shift linkage on the trans to make it work and than the lokar TV cable for shift points

I bought this after market handle for 94-98 mustangs and modified it to work on my stock 71 shifter shaft. The OD button is infront of the handle and I just merely flick the button with my finger. You can see the black collar under the shifter handle that houses the OD button.
