Default what valving to choose (bilstein rear shocks)

Been a latemodel fox guy for the longest, just picked up a straight 6 65 mustang, its a solid foundation to start my "autocross" inspired project. (not a family weekend cruiser)

Its strictly a fun DIY type of project using a limited budget. plans are to fab a rear torque arm/panhard suspension w/coilovers.
looking into bilsteins for shocks to start my coilovers.

Not sure how to correctly choose shocks for the light weight rear of a 65 mustang for use in a coilover setup. Bilstein use a listing such as - 3.5/3.5......I know those numbers relate to rebound/compression but how much R/C do I go with for the lighter weight rear of a 65 mustang?

Check with Shaun at Street or Track. Very knowledgeable and he is a vendor here.

Talk to Steve at Race Car Dynamics. This is where Shaun at SorT and Mike Maier get the Bilstiens they sell. Don't worry too much about compression and rebound settings yet. You'll need to know extended & compressed length, corner weight if possible and spring rate. Plus other stuff like the shock angle. They can valve (or revalve)your shocks how you want. Anywyay they where very helpful and have helped me on a couple different projects.
