Need a measurement

I have a '67 Mustang that was hit on the drivers side door, right at the door post where the hinge bolts on (lower hinge). I need to get a measurement from inside to inside across the car to locate the the door post.

on my 67 coupe, inside to inside is 54", about half way up in the door opening.

Thanks, can you measure across about where the lower hinge is for me. Or as close to that as possible, like right across the the transmission tunnel.
