T-5 clutch

Has anyone has experience with a spec stage 2 and the king cobra? As I've said on here before I put the spec stage 2 behind of my "mildly" built 289 and it just seems like wayyyy to much. My question is how does the King Cobra feel with a cable clutch?

I have the King Cobra with a hydraulic clutch. It feels great. Not too hard to push in but not soft like a Honda. Just right.
Don't know how different it would be with a cable clutch though.

yeah i think i really screwed up on this one... i had a spec in another car that didn't have the diameter that this clutch does so it helped...

King cobra hp rating: 315
spec stage 2 torque rating: 520

I had a King Cobra with a cable clutch. It didn't feel very good at all. The pedal felt kind of spongy when pushed down and the firewall would flex, not sure if thats related to the king cobra or not. I swapped out the cable for the hydraulic because I melted a few cables. Like ZPD said, it feels great with the hydraulic.

my cable has the firewall support so I'm pretty sure that is OK it is just like 1/4" is in or out and way harder then my new GT500 to push in.

Bigger isn't always better I guess... the 315hp limit just scared me where I guess I should know better by now.

I have a Spec stage 2 befind my 289, along with hydraulic clutch on a T5 Z spec. Pedal feels fine, similar to stock. Grabs very well, too.

hmmm our builds seem about the same... maybe it is the cable clutch... one thing is sure, it does grab! hahah

Do you have an internal or external slave cyl?

External slave cylinder. It's the Modern Driveline kit.

I have a King Cobra with a cable clutch. I think it feels fine, my dad says it feels a little weird. But it's not hard to disengage though.

I had a king cobra hydraulic clutch setup in my fastback. I had a 425hp 331 Keith Craft motor in it and it held the power fine. With the hydraulic clutch setup the pedal effort was very light and smooth.
