I have Serp on my 331, no slippage at all

Serpentine belts stretch much worse than v-belts. Be sure to check your belt frequently.

with a 130amp i couldn't run a single belt, swapped it to duel and would still squeal a little on start up. so this solved it. there is a v-grove on the bottom pulley for p/s if u need it

I did some more research. I think I'm going with a Serpentine, but going to use a Trickflow AC Delete plate which allows me to mount a ford 5.0 tensioner where the AC would normally be.

I agree, a Serpentine setup without a tensioner doesn't seem to be a great idea.

it's a gilmer set up. this is the same as this one (they are showing it on a 302). you have to extend or use a different lower alt bracket. or find a shorter belt. i extended mine. BB Ford Gilmer Pulleys Belt Kit | eBay
