second that ... i went with a Glenn's Performance sleeper 22 gallon stainless kit ... everything i needed for a fuel system up to my Demon carb .. all i need to do to move to efi is swap the regulator..
I'm considering getting one of these tanks myself, but I'm worried that the 22 gallon might take up too much room (4 link/dual exhaust). How well does yours fit compared with a stock one? Any pros/cons you've noted with it?

i have not routed the exhaust yet, i have a 69 Shelby center exhaust setup so i will be doing trial and error to get the 3" exhaust around the tank and exit the center ...
the extra capacity of the 22 gallon 70 tank seems to be in the top of the tank being just a bit taller on top than my 69 20 gallon tank. you also need to use a 70 filler neck as the angle is different, but fits like a glove, its a stock fit and unless you look under the car just behind the axle housing you cant see the AN fittings of the sleeper tank... i am also fitting a fays2 watts link in the next few months, hopefully it will clear... we know we have our work cut out for us on the watts link in general and the center exhaust.. should be fun tho... i have found no cons as of yet...
555speed- I am not sure if anyone here is running that chasis with the angle braces, so you are flying solo on that one....hate to say it, but unless you want to go custom (and leave the braces in) you are probably limited to the Detroit Speed tank. If you want to take out the braces...obviously more options.
Stangeme428 confirms everything that I have read (My tank isn't in it), that the extra capacity is inside the trunk in extra height, underneath is the same size. I too am running a 4 link with dual exhaust, and I am not anticipating any problems...well at least not from what I have read.
I'll have to wait and see what fill neck I need for my '68. I bought this for my '66 coupe and at the time, I think I was told I needed a fill neck for a '68 that would need to be cut down...now I might need a '70 fill neck?

Sounds perfect. You wouldn't happen to have any pictures of that setup, would you?
a few pics of the Glenn's Performance stainless 22 gallon sleeper tank and the alignment of the 69 filler neck with the 70 22 gallon tank. also a few pics of the AN fittings on the sleeper tank and how we routed the fuel filter and pump.
again, the 70 filler neck resolved the problem of misalignment with the 22 gallon tank. also - the fays2 mounts where the current filter and pump is routed, they will be moved over the 9" axle housing in a safe area..
edit: to second 66resto - i dont think the corner braces will allow a stock tank.. i cant tell from the angle of the pics etc, but it looks like the bracing will hit the tank.. unless the pics are an optical illusion and the braces are actually below the tank..
Here are a few shots of my tank from Ricks that I am getting ready to install this winter. I test fit it once already to mark the mounting holes. The best feature is how it is eased away along the driver's side to allow plenty of exhaust clearance.
I highly recommend Rick's Tanks. Hector is great to work with.

Well the shop called me today and i can keep my original styled tank. It just needed a small cut on the drivers flange. I ordered the aeromotive phantom efi kit which should arrive in two weeks.
We have not test fitted my old exhaust with the detroit speed suspension so that will be another hurdle when i get there. My build is moving Along i can not get over how much custom fab work is required for this detroit speed stuff.

I am curious, did you ever get this installed or tested?
I was lucky enough to have my son build my tank for my 67 having a 4 link made running the exhaust a little easier. I used the walbro pump supplied with the FAST kit and fitted it internally with a sump built into the tank.
i have a ricks tank in my car-- nice piece-- if you buy them thru a dealer :-) me-- and not thru a big box summit or etc then you can get it with fittings under the car.. so no fuel lines in the trunk..
