Default Clutch suggestions for 600hp?

I need to order a new clutch assembly and the one that was removed was an 11 inch centerforce single disc. I was looking at ram . Centerforce and monster.

I want max hold with no chatter and noise and decent pedal effort. My centerforce was so easy it felt hydralic but it slipped often and is now toast

I need to also get a new billet steel flywheel and wanted a match component package.

Comments or suggestions? Are all these brands made domestic?

I used to beat the crap out of my Centerforce DF, and it did very well.

I have bought all of my clutches from these guys for decades for many varied applications.......typical 24 turn around.....prices excellent! Just tell them exactly what you have, concerns, needs, etc and they will build it for you right the 1st time- especially in street/strip high HP/TQ applications.

McLued is good for competition applications, but i have personally experienced their 'custom clutches' in street applications and depending on the mood of the assembler, they can be garbage!

i have a cf DF and its nice pedal - no chatter but it cannot hold 475hp.. i can feel occasional slipping when i give er a good sh1t kicking.. lol

i talked to a guy local who sells mcleod and i will try it in my next swap-- doing a BB challenger now and when i talked to him he figured the mcleod could handle 550-6 and its still made in america and is a real steel friction plate not cast like CF.. so after talking to him that got me leaning that way..

on the fox side the big hp 5.0 a spec3 is common but lousy pedal and chatter but holds onto 700hp turbo motors.

I use to use a Centerforce DF disc with my drag car and had no issues. I had used Weber/ MCleod before that and they did not hold up.

the centerforce tech told me the 11" DF was good for 550 ft lbs (not sure how they really come up with that figure...)

A DF will hold 475 all day, and if it doesn't, it's usually because it's adjusted wrong. I bet I made 200 passes on mine, with slicks, running low 11s, and cutting 1.50 60's.

600 HP? Really? WOW. If I had an honest 600 HP, I'd go with a Tilton multi-disc. If you have a serious 600 HP, you should be worried about structural integrity. That kind of honest HP is typically found only at the drag strip. That kind of power will immediately find the weakest link and rip it apart. We definitely want to hear a lot more about this 600 HP clutch toaster.

I had a spec stage 3+ with a fidanza billet aluminum flywheel in my turbocharged 07 mustang. Pedal effort was a little high and it was very on-off and did not require any slipping of the pedal if that makes sense. It did not slip at all and held very strong no matter what I did. I was pleased with it.

I ran an 11" Center Force Dual Friction with my 4.6L (apples to oranges I know) in my 65. I used the CF pressure plate with a Ford Racing aluminum flywheel. It held up great to 550 HP with drag radials. Never any slipping, and 19K miles when I sold it.

Which Centerforce clutch "slipped often and is now toast"?

I have a spec 3+ and a spec aluminium flywheel. It will hold 600 easy. It is a great clutch no chatter or problems to speak of. I can slip the clutch no problem, it is more on the touchy side, probably from the lightweight flywheel.

guys there is no part number stamped in my clutch disc and the pressure plate has numbers but barely legible

i think my clutch was just a basic centerforce nothing fancy but from what i hear the centerforce is a great clutch if i go DF or twin disc?

can anyone recommend what specific part number i should be looking into?

As for flywheel who should i get this from and does it even matter?
