1965 DOHC w/Twins and 4R

Well, after screwing around with push rod stuff and blow through carbs, its time to change to what i have always wanted. Im selling all my 351 Turbo parts, motor, fuel system and ignition, and installing a 03 cobra motor with twins and E85! Pretty damn excited! ganna keep the boost to about the 20lbs range till i get the short block built. Also got a awesome deal on a Proven Very Built 4R70W non lock up, to help out with occational drives to get ice cream and car shows.

And it begins...

Well spent the last couple days welding/grinding, freezing my butt off working on the firewall. Pretty much done though. Looks like i have a friend that is a body Guy that needs my glide. So we are ganna do some trading, I
Getting a decent paint job with color change. He gets the glide. Pretty happy about that. Going 2010 GT500 Grabber blue, all trim and spoiler going satin black and wheels gloss black. Should look kinda like the mmr 10.5 car.

Anyway, should be very busy blowing the car totally down to body minus all removal parts now. And finishing up metal work. Here is the fire wall now though. Going to make the brake lines look much better as well.

Was pretty busy this last weekend. But all good things.

And my brother came down this weekend, and after much measuring, leveling and welding, we got the motor and trans mounts in just the right spots. Cross member notched and boxed. And also got the rear fenders cut out a bit, so now the tires wont rub under load.

Car is off to get the chute mount done tonight. And then back to me for engine bay cleanup/smoothing. And Then blast it all apart for paint.

Yeah, should be a good time! First time ive ever had the car not at my house having work done. But i figured the parachute was probably a good idea to have done by someone who knew what was going on..lol

Any thing with twins is bad in my book! My dream is to put a 3v 4.6l in my 67. All cammed up with a fat turbo! your build has my mind running!

Well, got a pic from the fab guy tonight. Chute mount is on and ready to rock!

So car comes back home tomorrow. Time to finish some stuff up.. and off to pain!

Subbin! What Turbo Kit you going with? Why not a hell raiser while your at it? Compound Boost FTW!

well, there is no "kit" for these cars. I bought some turbo headers off a guy on svt performance that are forward facing. And then ill make something from there. Me and my brother built the last turbo kit for the car too. So its not to big of a deal. This will be a little different design this time, single vs twins. Compound boost is a pain.. lol and one more thing i didnt want to have to worry about. i do like the hell raiser kits. But way to much money for how much i know it wouldnt fit, and how much modding would need to be done.
