Default Vortech-Supercharger on a 200cui inline?

Yesterday i bought a brandnew Supercharger from Z-Engineering, Switzerland. It´s a kind same like a Vortech. Because i miss nearly all hardware i would like to know if ever somebody bolt a Vortech on a sleepy 200cui Inline (And if, what was the Result?)

I think no matter what, your biggest challenge is that the intake/head/exhaust from the factory flow terribly. That said, it's not about what boost pressure you can produce in the intake manifold, but what your overall airflow is through the engine. I think the guys over at the Ford 6 forums would be very helpful. This is a link to their forced induction section. Lots of nutty people over there so be careful!

Well, the beauty of force air is that it tends to mitigate the poor log head flow characteristics.

And who you calling nutty? You're the one that squeezed a 4.6L into a 280z...that's no small feat as I looked at doing it as well.

Here are some dyno runs:
Classic Inlines - The Ford Six Dyno Room

I don't see any of the supercharger guys, but a turbo on a 250 (#1) with a log head was hitting 283RWHP with 437 ft-lbs.

It takes one to know one, right ?

I wonder what the extent of the head modifications were. From the specs there is at least a 2V carb on it, which has got to help. 250+ RWHP is certainly no small accomplishment one way or another. Headers would be a must. Just opening up those two choke points (intake at the 1V carb and exhaust at the stock exhaust manifold) has got to help significantly. Maybe not as good for atomization, but better for overall airflow.

Why not a turbo setup? More HP, plus lots of room under the hood of a six to do this. Either way you would be looking at fabrication so why not choose the one that makes the most HP>

If you can use the turbo in a suck through mode vs. a blow-thru, then simply whack the intake off at the head, hog it out and make a custom intake. Better yet, pop on an Aussie cross-flow head.

That is what I was thinking, is to just buy a used Aussie 4 valve engine.

I would love to transplant that into an original six cylinder Mustang fastback. If there is any doubt about making power with that kinda of engine just look at the turbo charged Gen 4 Supra's.

Some of those engines are making over 700 to 1k hp.
