I've got a 306, non roller block assembled with cast flat tops with valve reliefs. Arp bolts for mains and rods and heads. I think my compression will be around 9.5-10:1 with a 58-64cc head.
I'm leaning towards AFR185 heads in 58cc chambers. Maybe 165s if I can score a better deal.
Interested in maybe retrofitting to a roller cam. Leaning toward an off the shelf offering rather than a custom grind for sake of the budget.
Tremec 5 speed, 3.55-3.73 rear ratio, Fox/Explorer EFI system, injectors are either 36 or 39# with a MAF to match. Explorer GT40 intake. Tuning will be via Moates Quarterhorse.
What cam/head/rocker ratio do we think will get me to the 400 crank hp mark? Yes, I know this is a loaded question with lots of variables...
Thinking FRPP 'X cam, 1.6 ratio rockers and AFR185s...?

The problem is I've got a motor I bolted together a long time ago and am looking to refresh it a bit. Had built it for an auto, carb and with 2.02 iron heads with 64cc chambers. Dumped the iron heads, rethinking the cam I had installed (XE262H), now EFI, etc. Scope creep - woohoo!
