1965 Coyote Swap Build

We have some new parts in the works and need to spend a little shop time getting this old gal back in shape to mock things up. It's a real clean car to start with but had a hard hit in the right front.

We installed the 69-70 floor in this one, and it was the best fitting one ever. You'll notice we moved the seat belt anchors forward 6 inches like we always do.

We did a 69-70 floor with the seat risers for added headroom and a larger shiftier opening. We're also developing our exhaust system to go over our new Watts link.

This was the fastest install of our subframe ever. We installed the 2 bolts through the leaf springs then lifted the front up. From there it was just double checking our measurements and it was ready to weld in. Total time 15 minutes

We added a couple of gallons to our fuel tank capacity, so I wanted to see what it looked like with our rear valance. Now I just have to make up my mind on a supercharged 5.8 or the Coyote .

Looks great.

Why do you move the seat belt mounting holes forward 6"?

Very simple, because the hard buckle you get with the modern seat belts are to short. That's why we always move them forward.

Did a little test fitting with a 285 tire to see if it would fit. I took our mini tub to the max, making sure there would be NO modification to any of the interior or notching of the frame rail at all. After we get our new rearend installed I'll be able to figure out the max on the tires and the backspacing.
