Default Found Northern California Classic Mustang Shop - parts and repairs

Last week I was in Redding and discovered Shasta Mustang Supply (530) 244-4504 (Dave Taylor). This is the quentisential hole-in-the-wall shop jammed with vintage parts floor to ceiling. It is a one man shop that has been in the same location for 20 years.

I saw a headliner installed by the guy and it came out perfect. Have no other knowledge of the quality of his work. However, he has a slew of FORD! not repro - parts - used but clean fenders, doors, hoods, consoles, fold down seats, door glass, carbs, front spindles, motors, etc. He must have 50 carbs stacked in a heap in one corner of his shop. Touring the shop was like stumbling into the classic barn find. The guy is interesting in a weirdness sort of way - old codger with long grey hair, snaggle toothed, skinny, and maybe not living altogether in the present. Nevertheless, he seems to have an encyclopedic knowledge of vintage mustangs and was a nice enough guy- giving me a tour of his shop.

If you are looking for a Ford part you can't find (like clean used bumpers or a tilt steering column, or hard to find console), he might have it.

Wow you're not kidding. Check out the website! Lots of interesting "stuff" there. I'll have to check out that place next time I'm up there too.
