I am in the process of replacing my rear frame extensions, and trunk floor parts and obviously need to learn to weld. I have arranged for a member of my Mustang Club to give me a hand, but I know that his schedule is really hectic these days. I was wondering if anyone in the South Sound area might have a desire to teach me the ropes of basic wire-feed or gas shielded MIG operation? If I have the skills I will purchase my own welder (not looking to leach off of your tools), but before I purchase I need to figure out if I am going to be able to pick up this type of skill. My other option is to take an evening MIG course and a local Tech college, but I would not be able to start that class until summer or fall. I would hate to keep the 68 fastback in the garage all year…..
If any of you have some free time and could assist me I’d be more than happy to try to work out a way to make the deal beneficial for both of us.
