Hi everyone -

I am getting ready to sell my Dad's sweet '67, lime green/gold complete with black racing stripe over the hood. At this point I have not had it appraised and that is where I need help. I'm in Seattle and will gladly take it someplace to get an HONEST appraisal. Below is a quick description of the car and a link to some online photos (I can't figure out how to post a photo to this site...)

Serious and honest responses greatly appreciated. Thanks! Maggie

•Year - 1967
•Engine was rebuilt in 1976
•Approximately 76,800 miles on rebuilt engine
•3-speed, "straight 6"
•New clutch installed October, 2001
•New battery installed December, 2007
•The only significant interior damage is a tear in the driver's seat
•The car comes with every single repair invoice, including the original bill of sale for $,1900.00 from Bill Pierre Ford.
•This car has been lovingly and meticulously maintained

You might want to try nada on line and input the info. You'll get an idea or the coupe's value. The only problem with using nada is that the value will show an inflated figure. Honestly, a six cylinder will not bring a heck of a lot of $$$. I believe that it is in a project status catgory for sure.

Ebay would probably give you the greatest amount of $$.

Cool, thanks. I did have a collector come by and take a look and he quoted $12,000! I thought that seemed a bit high. I'll take a look on Ebay or Craigslist to see if there is anything out there.

Original MSRP: $2,567
Low Retail Average Retail Value High Retail
Base Price $6,475 $13,250 $22,100
Options
6 Cyl. Engine -20% -20% -20%
TOTAL PRICE $5,180 $10,600 $17,680

Low Retail Value
This vehicle would be in mechanically functional condition, needing only minor reconditioning. The exterior paint, trim, and interior would show normal wear, needing only minor reconditioning. May also be a deteriorated restoration or a very poor amateur restoration. Most usable "as-is".

Some of the vehicles in this publication could be considered "Daily Drivers" and are not valued as a classic vehicle. When determining a value for a daily driver, it is recommended that the subscriber use the low retail value.

Nice album...IMHO 12k is too much. Ebay is your best bet for top dollar...I am always surprised what people will pay. The originality of the car is a huge plus, make sure that is in your description. DO NOT USE A BUY IT NOW IF IT GOES ON EBAY. Let the bidders establish what its worth. If you are new to ebay then have somebody experienced walk you through it. Craigslist is a good resource but you will have to have a good idea of what its worth first. Good luck

Looks like a nice car for someone to start out with. Has it been repainted or is it still wearing the factory paint? JMO, I'd say realistically you'll be in the $6-7k ball park for the car.

Hey, thanks for the feedback. I will use a trusted friend who is very familiar with Ebay hold my hand through this process!

The paint is original, however my Pop had a small rear-end fender-bender and there was a little body work and repainting done just to the back-end. It needs a nice paint job, new carpet and I think it will look pretty sharp.

Thanks again,
Maggie
