Before this trip, I think the engine only had a couple of hundred miles since the rebuild. I was a little worried that there may be some forgotten detail that would make the trip a nightmare. The car performed beautifully though. It ran cool and was a blast to drive.

Always nice not to breakdown while on a long cruise

So how many cars made it to the School in Leavenworth?

Those are two nice looking cars. There is a soft place in my heart for 69/70 fastbacks. I almost bought a 70 Mach 1 with a 351c for my first car. It was $2500 and very nice. Those were the days. I keep thinking of selling mine after I drive it for a little while and building a 69.

I don't know the exact count, but it looked like a couple of hundred.

Rubbing salt into an open wound Ken. At least my tires don't rub any more. Do yours still rub. Don't worry about my car. It will be smoking the tires again by this weekend. It has to be. I have already paid the entry fee for a show on Sunday at the Vancouver America's Best tire. The show is being put on by the local Corvette club so I am not expecting much.
