I'll be there with the '68. I go every year. I think they said 1300 cars showed up last year - which I'm still figuring out how they fit them all on the grounds. It's a great place for the family as well.

Jeff, how do they break up the cars on the park grounds? Is it just park wherever you want? It might be cool to have VMFers meet up and drive in and park together if that's the case.

Well, now it's official. I made my hotel reservations for Silver Springs. BP will be along for the ride. We'll be staying at the Holiday Inn Express - Silver Springs.
The plan is to arrive on Thursday the 10th and depart on Monday the 14th.
This is the first time I'll be in Florida since elementary school, so I have no idea what there is to do in the area. Any suggestions for evening activities on Friday after the Pony Trail/NPD event and for Saturday and Sunday evenings after the car show?

What does everyone think of meeting up somewhere and all arriving at once?
sounds good to me... depending on how things are run this year - there may be an area near registration where people can wait on friends to show up so they park together.

a couple things - any ford can enter and each entry gets 2 free tickets to the park. if anyone is bringing the family - we should also coordinate so that the free tickets can be fully used.
the area is a little desolate (not really near the beach or other 'attractions'. in years past, we just had a party at the hotel. since most everyone at the hotel was there for the car show - it was pretty safe to not have too many complaints but theres always hooters
