Nice job Dennis! You and app01 are making me jealous. It's been a year and a half since I've made a pass, with no change in the foreseeable future.

Went racing on Friday evening and further raised the bar with a new PB of 9.91@135.56:

Ran 5 runs and 4 of them were in the 9's.

By using the cars weight plus the 1/4 mile ET/MPH, the calculators say that the car has 720HP motor and 648HP at the wheels. Not to bad for a full interior street/strip car WITHOUT a power adder.
Lawnjockey and Huntingky like this.

Congrats!! Makes me want to get out again atfer a long break from it. Be careful though, now you are in the 9's you'll want to go quicker--I know, I'm chasing a 8.99 and it sure does get expense ( as we all know this is an addiction).

Too Funny

It did take some professional advice and a little dumb luck on my end to get the right combination. Still, it wasn't easy and didn't happen overnight.

No. I've never been to Maple Grove. I prefer smaller venues where I don't have to wait several hours between rounds (especially in the staging lanes.)

My specifically planned May's stick car racing events will be Capitol in Baltimore May 20th and 3 days at Beaver Springs over Memorial Day weekend. Otherwise I now bounce between Beaver Springs and Mason Dixon, which ever strikes my fancy.

This year I hope to get out a little more. I'll have to come to the track and watch, maybe I'll take a shot. I'd be happy if it ran in the 14's.

Been a while since I've run. Two memorable times with my 85, 5.0 LX. Beating a 454 Monte Carlo and the guy coming over to see what was under the hood which was a totally stock 5.0 with a broked heat riser blocking off the driver's side and 2.73 gears. The other was this dirt bag who came over to me and wanted to know if I wanted to buy a real race car. A Nova that he said he had a motor with 5K in it. This was late 80's. My brother came over to me later and said that the race car was running high 16's. We had a good laugh.
