I've got one on my '66 GT. It's been on there since the mid-80's.
This is the bent bar. (TS-8) Originally intended to clear the taller
deck height of the Windsor block.... or a taller distributor.
I like the ability to "quick disconnect" the bar.
Thanks for posting that, GT289! Do you know if it will clear a 351w block? It looks like it should. I have a bunch of other Global West parts, be nice to keep them all matching if I can.
Yes, as I said, the original intent of the bent design was to clear the taller 351W height.
Your distributor is pretty high too...... that's what makes a "yes" or "no" answer difficult.
You may be able to call them and find out that way.
I've got the bent bar on my '69. Clears the MSD billet distributor and shaker hood on my 302. You can swivel it around to your liking, the quick disconnect feature is a bonus.
Thanks for posting the pictures! Unfortunately, the bar goes right through where my distributor sits, no way around it that I can see. Very possibly the bar could be mounted so the bend was towards the rear of the engine bay?
My only option is the bent bar or a custom set-up.
