Parking Brake Lever

Hello everyone! I am new to this site and to owning a classic Mustang. My wife and I recently purchased a 1966 Mustang Coupe for our 18 year old daughter. It needs a little work, when it comes to brakes and floor pans. Anyways, it has a "Straight-6, 200" and 9" rear drum brakes. Unfortunately when I went to change all of the brakes, the rear passenger side drum was missing the parking brake lever. You would think that these were made of gold, seeing as how I am unable to locate one. I can find them for 10" drums, but not for 9" ones. Does anyone have a suggestion or idea where I may find one? Any information would be helpful and greatly appreciated..

I appreciate you looking, but that's not the part I'm looking for. That part spreads between the two brake shoes. The parking break lever attaches to the rear shoe with a pivot pin and a clip that you squeeze in place. The parking brake cable attaches to it, inside the drum....
Thank you once again.

It's a very common piece (On every 6cyl car from 1960-1970)- Millions made, But you're not going to find it in any Catalog or certainly at any Autoparts Store.

I highly recommend checking with one of these two places...as it will have to be pulled from a junker most likely...

Call these places...

Old Dominion Mustang.. (Located in Richmond, Virginia)

OLD DOMINION MUSTANG/CAMARO

and

Mac's Antique Ford Parts (Located in Lockport, New York)

Ford Mustang Parts 1964 -1973 - Macs Auto Parts

One of them should have what you are looking for... Just give either of them a call..

Happy Driving...

I found these on Ebay... They are for the Right Hand Side (RH) only. Hopefully, The side you need is not the Driver's side...!!

61 62 63 1964 1965 1966 1967 68 Ford Mustang Falcon 9" RH REAR PARKING BRAKE ARM | eBay

and..

You may also want to e-mail the Ebay Seller of these (MAGMUSTANGS). I have bought stuff off him before, He is very good. He might have the Left Side, but just not put it up on ebay... I bet he has it...Shoot him an e-mail through e-bay and he might put it up for you.

PS: TLuna, Dude, I just saw that you are in Titusville... You are only 35 minutes North of me.. I am in Melbourne! ... If you ever get stuck with stuff (problems with your '66 Mustang) , I can help you out... Just ask...

Hope all this helps..
