I also had nothing but redirects and auto-play urls, got fed up with it and installed an Ad Blocker. No more issues.

I wish it were that easy for me. My work computer is locked down tighter than Dick's hat band. I just had to walk away for several hours. Very frustrating

If you are seeing pop up or redirects, please include the full URL of the ads/ pop ups so we can blcok them from the site. If you are seeing a video, are you logged in when you see them? If so, please include the full url of teh video as well and we can have it blocked as well.

Thank you so much,

~ Glenda

Administration has consistently demonstrated that they are not going to fix this problem, just treat the symptoms. If you can't install an ad blocker on your work computer, I suggest using your phone instead.

I'm not an expert, but I play one on the internet.

The problem is corrupt ads making it through our filters hence the ask for urls to block manually, thus tightening our filters. The symptoms as you put it are the problem. Or do you suggest a different problem?

Since this is the only site that I frequent that experiences this never-ending parade of "corrupt ads", my suggestion is to do whatever every other forum out there does that keeps them from showing up in the first place. You're fighting an up hill battle by just handling the tactical and blocking individual ads that they're just going to change the URL on anyway.

Maybe the core software this place is built on needs to be addressed. 20 years and dozens of forum memberships and this place is by far the worst afflicted I have ever experienced.

I can guarantee you it's the same video pop ups that I have now reported in two different threads. There are no associated URL's.

If there is no url to copy, can you right click on the video and try and "copy link address"? If that option isn't available, can you grab a screenshot of the offending ad?

And if you are getting frozen up by the ad, after you reload try going through your browser's history and see if you can find the page or the ad there.

It is happening again today. I notice when this happens, people leave the forum. There were only 6 of us on earlier until I had enough....then there were 5

Nooooooo...we've been through this already. I've been hit at least a dozen times in the last thirty minutes.

Pop Up Videos
