Can someone tell me why my thread was deleted

I had put up a thread about my new instrument bezel, and it's gone. That is really frustrating!

Not sure, I can't find it anywhere. I was one of the first to comment on it, but didn't revisit after that.

Did it turn bad or involve unauthorized, non supporting vendor advertising?

Wife,........."You drove how far for that thing?"
Daughter,..."Theres no inside and it stinks."
Friend,......."Dude, thats a rusted pile."
Son,.........."This old car is cool."

Interesting. I commented on a post yesterday about a power steering issue, and now I can't find it. I wonder if some glitch deleted some posts...

It had a link to the company i had do the work. Guess that got it deleted. Why not just delete the post and not the whole thread? Crazy thing is, they deleted a couple of my private messages about it to! Didn't know they could do that! That's a little overboard in my opinion!

Good question. When a thread is moved or deleted by moderator or administrator there is left behind a marker that this happened. Regular users can't see those but the moderators can. Your thread just vanished, there is NO trace left behind. This leads me to believe something weird happened, no one purposely removed it.

On top of relocating this thread to the site issues forum so upstairs will see it I'll see if I can dig up anything more. I saw the thread too, that was some pretty cool stuff.

I did a search too and found nothing. I too saw it. Sorry but that one remains a mystery.

How about if you repost it, I'll re-reply first and act like none of this ever happened.

I'm serious, it was a good looking job that others might like to duplicate.

Yeah, it was my post(Steering is possessed), completely disappeared. I was just coming to check on it and there's nothing to see. I'm positive I didn't have any advertising links or other weird stuff, I'm not smart enough to know how to do that stuff. Do I need to restart my post, there was some info posted I had wanted to double check before I tore things apart.

There was another thread about some guy trying to get his dad's mustang.

That disappeared too!
