Default Slow VMF Server- 30 sec.+ page load?

Having fits using the site. Pages are taking forever to load. Used two browsers with the same result, IE and Firefox. Is it just me or is anyone else having this problem?

I'm right up the street from you...and lighting fast here.

1. Check you current speed coming from your ISP
2. Run a trace route....maybe your local DNS is down and you are bouncing through detroit
3. If you use FF turn on ad block and see if that clears it up (could be a slow loading ad from a 3rd party server)
4. Could also be a virus ghosted your machine and you have other issues....

I'm on FIOS and every other site is working fine. Perhaps the adblock in FF could be an issue , I'll try that.

Since it's also a problem with IE I suspect another issue. Just ran Mbam earlier today so no malware, hijacks detected either.

I'll keep trying, at least I can assume it's not the server.

Thanks for the fast response.

Hi
I agree, there's too much "flash" going on. I can't tell you how many times I've lost a post due to some crazy AD flash interrupting my reply. There been times, some crap AD would suddenly appear and I'd lose a detailed reply. After which I just leave the forum.
No, it's not you or your OS. I was lucky, I made it through this post.
frustrated!

i'm running firefox with adblock so i see no ads, not sure if blocking the ads takes time or not, all i know is its frustrating to have people say its a computer problem when i visit dozens of forums daily and only this one is a problem.

it is bearable, i just cant be in a hurry while on here.
