I bought my 1969 last week, and other than a paint job, the only problem is the electric fan not working.
The previous owner installed a 351W, and added an electric fan to the front of the radiator.
He also added a Electra-Temp controller (exactly like this one) http://static.summitracing.com/global/images/instructions/flx-10_20(2)1.pdf
He said the fan worked for a while, but then stopped. He didn't want to replace it, so he put a 5 blade fan on the water pump pulley (without a shroud), drove it, then shut it down because he said the engine temp was getting too high. The gauge isn't working, so I have no idea how he came to this conclusion.
Should I replace the fan, or just rip the electric fan/controller out, put a shroud on, and call it a day?
