Hadn't thought about it. We could....especially if we end up heading to Cooper's BBQ in Llano.

Are they open on Saturdays?

Maybe Russell would open Mustang Mania just for such a "special occasion"! Maybe not.

I just sent him an email letting him know about the drive and to see if he'll be around.

Not far from Bandera. Starting maybe an hour to the east in Blanco.

Let me know if you get a hold of Russell. The shop used to be open on Saturday's but they have been having a few changes there.

As far as me making the trip...still not decided...I don't think I will have the red 68 ready for the road by then. I just installed a new motor and trans in the past 2 weeks, and although it seems to run good, I am far from "dependable" driving. I still need to finish the alignment (my 70 also needs this), and then licensing and registration too. I'm close, but may not make it in a car on my own...My son and I may just drive his coupe.

Y'all have to promise to take good pictures. It'll be good motivation for me to make the next one.

I just went back and read through the entire thread and it looks like we have 7 or 8 confirmed and another 5 or 6 maybes. So now it is decision time...If we head up to Cooper's (Llano) it will be a 90 minute to 2 hour drive if we stay on the back roads...which I'm good with. We can then decide what to do from there (haven't heard back from Mustang Mania). Or, we can do a big 90 mile loop with multiple stops at different roadside restaurants and bars. Or some other combination of stops.

Feel feel to voice your thoughts. We can decide now or Saturday morning before hitting the road.

I'll have empty seats in the '66 Ragtop if you want/need a ride.

I don't trust my Mustang for that far of a trip, but would like to coordinate this with a visit to the family ranch near Goldthwaite. They have car shows at the park in Goldthwaite. Maybe you could bring your ride there sometime?

Jane also has space for a passenger, though passengers must listen to wind noise, exhaust noise, radio noise, and me yelling at the car for whatever reasons I can find

We should all swap phone numbers (via PM or something) so we can contact each other if something comes up or becomes an issue on the way to the meetup.

Kelly-H has pointed a good tip with the phones, now you can contact others if something goes wrong during the cruise, arrange a non-programed stop or just manage empty seats in case someone needs. Fisically, I can't be there for the next saturday cruise, but my soul will be with all of you, and look forward to meet you in the next autumn event.! I wish you all a very nice and happy day.!!

I was talking with my son last night and there's no way we can make it, he's got his prom events, I've got that remodel deadline, Cherylene's got that noisy rear end at 65mph.
My son was dissapointed, he's a Mustang fiend!
He really wanted to see some cool Mustangs and meet some cool Mustang enthusiasts as well.
Would have been a great drive.
I'll have to get Cherylene up to speed for the next meet, hopefully she won't be prancing around in her underwear (primer) by that time.
