The '89s are a totally different seat. They are very adjustable, but not very nice looking IMHO. The TurboCoupe seats were very comfortable and would look great in an early car. Sorry I have no pictures . . . . just memories!

Where have y'all purchased your seats?

eBay or other online retailer? Wait until something shows up at a pick-n-pull?

Picknpulls have 1/2 price on holiday weekends. July 4 & 100* is surprisingly busy.

and it will be mostly the same for the 2007 seats

Sorry, I reread your post and I was wrong. You do not drill a hole in the track, you drill a new hole in the bottom of the seat. But you will not need to drill a new hole in the floor pan.

I wanted to clarify that.

I watched CL until the fox body seats showed up.
The 07 seats I got from the pick-a-part.

From what I have seen, S&H is high on seats, so eBay is not practical.

Ya, that's how I feel. eBays prices are usually too high. I guess I'll have to keep an eye on CL and pick-a-part. And be patient...

There is a set of Cobra seats (I believe, much like the GT seats shown above) that came with the fox bodies that I thought were very cool Dodgestang had a set for sale years ago, don't remember what they exactly came out of but I was sorry I did not have the coin at the time to buy them.

If there is a good pick parts place in your area, watch craigslist as people make a living getting there first and grabbling the good stuff out of new cars that show up and flipping them.

Good luck, low as possible, and further back that's the mantra, leg room

After going thru one set of swap meet seats, and not happy with anything I found at the local pnp's, CL, or EBay, I bit the bullet and bought a set of TMI seats. Very comfortable, and they do a good job of matching the interior. The extra cost over buying used, getting them recovered, etc. just wasn't that much.
