I need the year of this engine in order to get the gasket kit. 351 W. Should be around 1970. The number stamped on the block is: 77AY-6015-AA.
Any help is appreciated. The Ford garage and parts yards were no help. I just know that I should have asked here before I spent an hour and a half on the phone.

That number doesn't look right. It should be something with a letter first like C9 or D0.

That is the only number Young JB could find. It was on the casting near the starter.

That's the correct location for the number. Have him check it again a little closer.

I agree with DaveK...that number doesn't make sense. Perhaps it is D7....?
