I just priced one from a local glass company for my 65 coupe and was quoted $700.00 wholesale as I work for a car dealership. They told me list price was almost $1600.00!I hope that this post brings me a more reasonable place to buy a replacement.

The lowest I have found so far was $225 installed, the guy said that the glass itself is listed at $475, other places wanted like $600-$900 to replace the glass.

That price is absolutely obnoxious. I paid $180 and I provided the gasket so it was about $215. Only reason to even pay twice that much would be for a NOS ford windshield and I don't believe are are many of those available.

Man, I think if I were quoted $1,600 for a windshield, I might run that establishment past the BBB! That's absolutely off the charts. I wouldn't pay anywhere close to that for fastback rear window glass!

Hey, I found a windshield for my 66 coupe from www.expressglasspaint.com for $120. Seems like shipping was to be $10. or so.

The cost depends on availablity of used glass in good shape, new glass, tinting and what brand of glass. Last year I had $600 quotes and only one at $215 for LOF with tint at the top. I noted that NPD lists Carlite glass at about $350. The installation cost is typically $35 for the gasket and $75 for labor. My cost was $310 installed.
