I got an AM/FM radio with the coupe I just bought. The PO says it was the one he took out of the dash before the cut the faceplate on the 67 for a CD player. Can anyone tell me what radio this is or if it is an original 67 Mustang am/fm??

It has Aeronutronic FORD on the front and part number 6A-D6F-19A171-AA on it. Any help??

PS: does anyone have an extra stock faceplate??

An original '67 would have no words on the face. I don't know where it's from, but the "D6F" number MAY indicate a 1976 model part.

It's also possible that your PO got the car after 1976, and this is INDEED the radio he took out, but it's not the original radio.

As Jess said, a Ford AM/FM for 1967 would have started with "F7T"

I worked at a Ford dealer back in the 70's.
Your radio with "Aeronutronics" and the number
indicate it is a 1976 radio.
