65 - all seat belts optional
66 - front belts standard, front retractors and rear belts optional.
67 => fronts and rears standard ()

This is what I thought, but recently got info from two local 67 owners that they beleive thier cars never had rear belts. Anyone know if the rears were standard in 67 or you could order a "rear belt delete"?

65 - front seat belts standard, rear optional.
66 - front and rear seat belts standard.
68 - (Jan or Feb) shoulder belts standard

That's what I seem to recall

The '67 owners are mistaken, or the belts were removed from their cars. Rear belts became standard equipment in '66.

"Standard Option??" Isn't that an oxy-moron? (like "climb down")??

Anyway, my '67 has rear belts, and like Johnpro said, they were standard. Although, front shoulder harnasses were an option in 67...

HTH,

Rick

Ummm.... if you have more than one choice isn't "standard" one of the options? As in no rear belts, standard rear belts, or deluxe rear belts, does that only make 2 options?

Geeez, the grammer police on-line...

Jeez . . . Sorry!! I just thought that if it were "standard", your car came with it, no matter what! In other words, not an "option"!!

could be.. but know I sure love to hear my big block "Vroom" to the "Beat" of the cam. And that my lack of "Discipline" may make me buy a 68 S code fastback, so I could have "Three of a Perfect Pair"! :: hmmm... gotta go spin some vinyl now!
