My brother helped me out when putting new seat covers and carpet in my car! He pulled out all the seat belts for me now I need to know where each one of them go? I have a 68 mustang with the shoulder belts! Help! Some are different lenghts and some have the plastic near the base of the belts? Which ones go where?

Thanks :wall:

Well, 6:30 came around and I couldn't get connected to the forum.

Anyway, here's what I see on my car:

Front seatbelts:

Male part of shoulder belt is 40 ˝” long and has vinyl at the top and also has velcro on it for when you have it folded.

Male part of lap belt is the only retractable belt. That goes on the floor closest to the door.

The 2 female belts are held to the floor by the same bolt. The longer one is about 44” (not counting the buckle part), goes on the bolt first and is for the shoulder belt I’m pretty sure. The shorter one is about 28”.

Rear seatbelts (couldn’t get an exact measurement because they start behind the seat):

Male part is around 18” and starts on the side of the back of the seat, closest to the side of the car.

Female part is about 30” and starts around the edge of the hump part of the seat.

Hope that helps,
Jeff

No problem, now can you help me re-assemble a Coke machine I took apart 11 years ago?
