I have the build sheets for my 1969 mach 1, and I have been able to decode the VIN and door tag. However, I have not found a table that helps decode the complete build sheet. There is many obvious things on the sheet, but some still seem cryptic such as the wheels, alternator and steering column.

can someone point me in the right direction?

The build sheet usually calls out either paint codes or a part #. To fully decode those, you'll need a copy of the Ford Master Parts catalog...
