The guy apparently has no clue. I sent him a message, so we'll see how he responds.

Thats a good one! "Once again this is an original 302 Boss Engine" I didnt know they made 2 barrel boss 302s with with automatics in a coupe. Maybe it was just a 71 option? LOL

I can see an honest mistake from someone not familiar with Mustangs. But he doesn't seem to be making a correction, or posting the questions and answers in the auction.

That's one of the funniest Ebay auctions I've seen in a long time!

He might have put it in just to get more people looking, kind of like people put "not shelby" in their description.

This does work, even if it is annoying as heck when trying to get legit search results.

I believe there is a 71 B2 car out there, remember they had already printed the sales literature and everything for the car but decided to go with a Boss 351 package instead.

Time to find that Kevin Marti article in Mustang Monthly.

But it's fairly obvious this is not it.

Writing Boss 302 on back window means it must be real!!

I wouldn't be surpised if he's ignoring all the "It ain't a Boss" emails he's getting figuring it's just ebay scammers trying to rip him off. At least his buy it now price isn't in real Boss territory, but it's still a little high for the shape that body is in.

I saw a '71 Boss 302 when I was in college in the late '70's. It was a Canadian built Mach 1 with, as I recall, a "G" engine code which according to the Motor Repair manual, translates as a 302HO. It was definetely a Boss though with Cleveland Heads, aluminum intake, 780 Holley, etc. A classmate of mine was driving it.
