Default MEMBER NOTICE: Please log Bug Reports here

Wow! We're back up and running.

Please take some time to familiarize yourselves with the new software. There are going to be some differences between how the old software worked and what you see here. Do note that changes are not the same as bugs.

To allow us to respond in the most timely and effective manner to your concerns and inquiries, please post all bug reports in this thread only.

Thanks... Don

Hi Don,
I guess I'll be bug report #1. My old username somehow came back. Under the old software, it was my login name and "gotstang" was my display name. It looks like vBulletin doesn't allow for the two to be different...just guessing?

Edit: After looking around a bit more, it looks like all my PMs are gone too.

Smilie Detector is a LITTLE too sensitive.

From your original Member Notice regarding the upgrade:

"A major upgrade of the Vintage-Mustang forum software is planned, beginning around 1:00 a.m. EDT on Sunday, October 11."

I understand the need to detect certain smilies, like and and but if I can't say one o'clock A.M without it getting jacked up, I consider that a bug (though, imo probably a low priority bug )

Thanks,

Steve

Another silly complaint:
There is no difference between the "Hot Thread With New Posts" and "Hot Thread with NO New Posts" icons.

I HEAVILY rely on visual indicators to know which threads I don't need to bother opening only to find out that there has been no update.

LIke zim, all my PM's are gone, and I'm not subscribed to any of my old threads.

We're using exactly the same smilie code as the old site. It's just the new board system is a lot more aggressive in how it handles the code.

Please report any smilies that cause simple sentences to break and I will correct it ASAP.

Thanks
Richard

Now the displayed post is larger than my screen and I need to slide the bar at the bottom to move it back and forth to read the posts.

I'm no PC guy so is this something I need to correct on my PC or is it at your end?

Thank you for taking over.

Oh and are the same moderators still in charge?

I have 3 Pm's from '06, all the rest are gone.

No big deal, just a bug

Your old thread subscriptions are not supported.

We're looking into the issue of PM's disappeared. I will post when I have further information about this glitch.

Thanks
Richard

+1 One of the things I liked about the old was the "display name". Old VMF was about the only forum that permitted it, though.
Is there any hope we'll get it back? For now I just added my name to my sig.

Folks - any of you with display name issues, please PM me so I have a list and I'll correct them as time permits. Understand that changes in your User Name will affect your login.

Thanks... Don

Meaning one's display name must be the same as one's user name?
