Default 302 value ????

ok I pulled the 1972 302 that was in my 68FB when I bought it . I have built a 347 stroker with a 289 block that will replace it . I am going to sell the 302 . It was running fine when I pulled it out , Has an edelbrock performer 289 intake and an edelbrock 4v carb (not sure what size ) and chrome valve covers ( mallory ,I think 8^)........ what would you price it at

It seems that any running 302 is priced between $250 and $350 add to that the value of the intake carb etc. .............. what price would you ask ?

I dont want to sell it too cheap ,but I dont want to price it so high that it scares everyone off either ...................... all opinions welcome

I think you'll get more by selling the carb, intake and valve covers separatley ($100 each). Price the running 302 at $250 and it should sell quickly. That's $550 - more than you'd get for the combo together.

Start off at $500. Used engines are a crap shoot and that's why they usually don't sell for much.

It doesn't take much to fire the engine up on the ground..I would sell it as a running engine...

500-750.00 If you can, you can also film it running before pulling, Long distance buyers really like seeing it running

If you can't get it running then it is worth more parting it out.

So,overall, what's the garden variety 69 302 2 bbl heads and intake worth these days. I was thinking mine (original 50K miles) are not worth the $$ to list simply because of the shipping $$ for the weight of the pieces.

Agree - film it running and try selling it whole. If that doesnt work part out the good bits and sell the rest.
