For the record, quarter ornaments were not optional in '65 and '66, and the three-finger style was '66 specific and was never available in '65. They were standard equipment on all coupes and convertibles. As was mentioned above, they'd be deleted on cars equipped with the Tiffany stripe, GTs, and any fastback.

As long as we're beating this horse I'll ad another helping of oats! When I ordered my 64 1/2 vert I ordered the accent group (pin stripe) partly to get
rid of the scoop chrome. That option also included the rocker moldings as I recall. In any case I asked if I could get the car without the rocker moldings.
The answer was NO. As I recall the basic car was without the rocker moldings as I remember I was frustrated not being able to get the accent without
the moldings!
